ahhhh, my very own blog. as pericles spake to the athenians, "what am i doing here?" i suppose i was inspired by palmer and the other sages at midwestorganicgreenhouse.com, alan creech, others. but i don't have the wisdom, experience, or cool-e-nuf life to really garner interest. (homer to homer's brain: "okay, brain...just help me out now and then i'll go back to killing you with beer." homer's brain: "it's a deal!") so this whole blogging thing seems faintly reminiscent of Neil Postman's point in Technopoly: when unfettered access to nearly unlimited information distribution is available to any schmoe (like myself) for a low or no cost, the amount of crapola unleashed upon the world is staggering. will there be any backlash to all of this "here's a little piece of my mind" quasi-electronic diary to the world stuff? what would that look like? What Would Screwtape Do? Better yet, What Would Bono Say in Response to Screwtape?
