What an awesome poem, man. I just looked up a bio on him, not knowing much about him. What an amazing man... conversion from European psychoanalysis to American protestantism... intellectual in nearly every field... Chancellor of the Academy of Ameican Poets for like 20 years... that's a man who didn't take living lightly!
