mike has had his link to the ONE campaign for a while now. have you signed the petition? perhaps (if you're in columbus) you should join a local action group. like a new years' resolution or something. this kind of public pressure has made a difference, even at the highest levels. only continued attention to these issues by you and me will ultimately persuade our leaders (elected and not) to do something substantial--like standing by promises they've already made. and even if you aren't convinced about the efficacy of the campaign yourself, you have to admit, it's pretty amazing that ONE has been able to get the likes of Pat Robertson, Michael Stipe, Steve Buscemi, Mos Def, Dennis Hopper, Jars of Clay, Dikembe Mutumbo, Eddie Vedder, Tom Hanks, etc. etc. to sign the same petition.
