if by call you mean "a direction that you believe God has nudged you in", then yeah, that seems right to me! i guess your way of putting it is better, so i was just referring back to that vis a vis the bigger "God's Will" term. The following list seems to make some sense to me... what you think? general revelation (big picture): God's Will (same yesterday, today, forever; affirmed by Scripture, Church history, community, circumstances over very long periods of time--generations) specific revelation (lifetime picture): a 'calling' (revealed piecemeal or all at once, seems to change, and can even be affected somewhat by my own actions; affirmed by community, HS promptings, circumstances over time) special revelation (detailed picture): short-term knowledge, maybe miraculous, maybe just really helpful ("sniper" revelation that meets a specific need at a particular time and for an individual or small group; can be treated subjectively, should be affirmed by confirmation with circumstances, other two types of revelation.) I don't know if it's helpful anymore... I was sorta thinking while typing....
