I actually ran into an incident a few days ago when Kirby, (the lesbian friend, for lack of a better title) asked me if i wanted to partisapate in the day of silence to promote gay/lesbian/bisexual rights. This was akward. Especially because at first i totally misunderstood- thought we were protesting hate crimes- and agreed. Then had a chrsis when i realized what the shirt i was supposed to wear really said. I didnt wear it, and i actually didnt see her all day, so i was also spared a premature conversation about christianity and homosexuality that i didn't want to have yet. Good stuff. Again.
